The Historic Preservation Board meets:

Members
Membership is tied to differing positions, such as property owners in historic districts, representatives of certain professions and member of the Putnam County Historical Society. There is no residency requirement. Members serve 3-year terms.

Members enforce and have jurisdiction over certain provisions of the Palatka Municipal Code, which relate to issuing certificates of appropriateness on construction and/or renovations, and monitoring for compliance with building codes. About the Board
The purpose of this board is to preserve and enhance the character of the historic districts. 
    Historic Preservation Board Code
    Section 54-76 states: “Members shall be selected on the basis of their interest in preserving historic districts...”
