City of Palatka Student Summer Internship

The program will be opened to high school students ages 16-18 and 2017 graduates. Student needs to be a resident of the City of Palatka.

The internship is designed to ensure that the intern receives real world exposure to problems and issues that perhaps are not found in textbooks. Students will participate in hands on training to include:

-  Resume building

-  Working with equipment and technology that is not available to them on campus

-  Increase self confidence in the workplace while developing an expanded network of associates and professionals

This is a paid eight (8) week internship. Students will also have the pleasure of working with our City Commission and learning about their local government. Interns will have a 20 hour work week. The program is set to begin June 8 and will end on August 2, 2017.

Students interested in applying should stop at City Hall for an application or visit the Guidance Office at their school. Applications are due by close of business on June 1, 2017.
