The City of Palatka seeks a dedicated superintendent for our municipal water plant. This role entails managing daily operations of the water treatment facility, from supervising operators and mechanics to handling payroll, budgeting, purchasing, and project management, and must have a Florida Water or Wastewater Plant Operator Class “A” License.  Yet, beyond overseeing the plant, we're searching for someone to join our dedicated team and play a pivotal part in Palatka's growth and ensuring service to our special community.

About our City: We are Palatka, and our nature is in our history, our environment, and our creativity. Most importantly, it is our people, whose nature it is to be a friendly community in a town that invites newcomers to open a business, restore a home, and join our family. We are black and white, young and old, natives and newcomers.

Palatka, the county seat of rural Putnam County, is a town with a population of 10,000. Our historic city offers all the benefits of a small, friendly, and affordable community while being within easy driving distance of larger cities such as Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Daytona Beach, Gainesville, and Orlando. Situated on the St. Johns River, Palatka also offers opportunities for many outdoor activities, including boating, fishing, hunting, and bicycling.

We can live anywhere but choose Palatka, and we hope you will, too.
