
Area elected officials and municipal staff members gather at the Palatka Golf Club for the monthly meeting of the Northeast Florida League of Cities on Thursday, Sept. 21. The Northeast League is a group of 25 municipalities that meet regularly to share ideas and discuss ways to serve their citizens better. The master of ceremonies of the event was Palatka City Commissioner Rufus Borom, the organization’s president. Palatka Mayor Robbie Correa and Commissioners Tammie McCaskill, Justin Campbell, Will Jones and several City staff members attended the event. The keynote speaker of the event was attorney Mark Lawson, who specializes in non-Ad Valorem tax-based funding for municipal services.
