City history to be featured on ‘Florida Frontiers’

Ben Brotemarkle, Executive Director of Florida Historical Society and host of the Public Television and radio show ‘Florida Frontiers’ interviewed City of Palatka Historian Larry Beaton in the parlor of the City’s Bronson-Mulholland House on Friday.

Brotemarkle is featuring the history of Palatka and the Florida School of the Arts, where he is an alumnus, for upcoming episodes of his radio and TV programs. 

Brotemarkle also talked to Putnam County Historical Society Vice President Nicole Grace.

“I was excited and honored to talk to Ben and share some of City’s history,” said Grace, “I think the people of Palatka would be surprised to know the importance of the history of the City has to the rest of the state.”
