The Palatka/Putnam Race Issues Study Circles Initiative has announced their Spring series for Race Issues Study Circles in Putnam County. There are several to choose from: Interlachen evening, Palatka morning or evening. Each Circle will meet for 2 hours once a week for 5 weeks. There will be 2 facilitators and up to 10 participants, all evenly balanced between white and persons of color. There is no financial charge, just a willingness to be open to new ideas and a commitment to attend the 5 sessions. For developing the cohesiveness of a group, attendance at the first session is critical and required. If you cannot make any of these groups, be assured we will have more throughout the year.
We are offering 4 circles:
Monday mornings from 10-12 at the St. Johns River Center (First meeting is March 12th)
Monday Evenings from 6-8 at the St. Johns River Center (First meeting is March 12th
Thursday Evenings from 5:30-7:30 at the Interlachen Library (First meeting is March 15)
