The Florida Department of Economic Development (DEO) is accepting applications from eligible local governments who are interested in repairing residential housing units, within their community, which sustained damage during Hurricane Matthew and which are also occupied by Low and Moderate-Income Households.  The program would include one or more of the following: the full renovation of the housing unit, replacement of the housing unit, elevation of the housing unit above the floodplain or in areas where flooding occurs on a regular basis, the voluntary acquisition of the housing unit.  To determine if there is a need in the community for this funding, the City of Palatka is accepting Preliminary Applications from individuals who own residential housing units which sustained documented damage during Hurricane Matthew and are interested in having their housing unit considered for inclusion in the program.  The program is opened to both owner occupied and rental housing units located within the City Limits of the City of Palatka.

Preliminary Applications are available online (link below) at Palatka City Hall, 201 N. 2nd Street, Palatka.  Applications can be returned to Palatka City Hall once they are completed.  For additional information please contact Mandi Tucker, Grants & Projects, at 386-329-0107 or by email at
