The St. Johns River Wetlands Center is reopening on Saturday, Sept. 9, after being closed for renovations.
A collaboration between the City of Palatka and Georgia-Pacific's Palatka Pulp and Paper Operations, the educational center showcases exhibits on wetland areas tied to the St. Johns River system.
Located on the corner of Memorial Drive and St. Johns Avenue next to Palatka’s Riverfront Park, the center's hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. It's closed Mondays.. Admission is free.
