Contractors working for the Palatka Public Works Department started the resurfacing of the 5th Street intersection of St. Johns Avenue on Wednesday, Nov. 1 morning and were finished by early afternoon. 

The project was to address the transition between the crosswalk and the pavement on the street, which was left with irregularities from a prior crosswalk and intersection project.  

This work is part of an ongoing project by the City of Palatka and Putnam County to resurface and improve St. Johns Avenue.  More details of the St. Johns Avenue project can be found at https://palatka-fl.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=680
