REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR CDBG MIT ARCHITECTURE AND ENGINEERING SERVICES PRICE MARTIN COMMUNITY CENTER HARDENING AND SHELTER IMPROVEMENTS
The City of Palatka hereby requests submission of qualifications from qualified individuals or firms to provide architectural and structural engineering services for the Price Martin Community Center Hardening and Shelter Project, funded under agreement number I0146 with the Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) funding from HUD’s Community Development Block Grant Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) Program.
Hardening of the Price Martin Community Center sufficient to be used as a hurricane shelter including hardening the roof structure, installing new Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment to handle increased capacity, replacing existing doors and windows, replacing masonry in building front to withstand high winds, and installation of an emergency generator. Architectural and Structural Engineering services will include design, bidding and construction observation services for the project. A scope of work outlining the tasks to be performed and a timeline to complete the proposed tasks must be included in the proposal. To ensure compliance with Chapter 287.055, do not include pricing within the submittal. Once the City's ranking committee establishes the most qualified individual or firm, the City will negotiate the price and profit with the selected individual or firm.
The City has received funding and therefore, procurement and contracting will follow CDBG regulations and award will be contingent on DEO approval. All interested parties must register by email to the RFQ contact their name, email address, address and telephone number to receive any future changes, additions, addendums or notices concerning this RFQ.
