HISTORIC DISTRICT POTABLE MAIN IMPROVEMENTS
The City of Palatka is seeking bids for the Historic District Potable Main Improvements, Palatka, FL 32177. This project involves the This project involves the replacement/installation of a new water main and abandoning the old water main and is located generally in the north and south historic districts. Construction will include new potable water main, including related valves, bends and other appurtenances for a complete and operable system in the historic districts of the City. Elements of the work include pavement restoration, abandonment of existing water main, installing new fire hydrants, and replacing service connections. All interested parties must register their name, email address, address and telephone number with the City to receive any future changes, additions, addendums or notices concerning this ITB.

Any qualified individual or firm desiring to provide the required services should submit one (1) original and five (5) copies in a sealed envelope marked in red ink “RESPONSE TO INVITATION TO BID 2017-11 FOR HISTORIC DISTRICTS POTABLE MAIN IMPROVEMENTS”. Late submittals will be returned unopened. Submittals will be opened as soon as possible after the submission deadline. Evaluation and selection will occur in accordance with the appropriate requirements at a time and place to be determined. The City of Palatka reserves the right to reject any and all submittals, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the ITB process and to award the contract(s) in the best interest of the City.

Copies of the documents may be obtained from Ayres Associates office for $40.00 dollars per set, which constitutes the cost of reproduction and handling. Checks shall be payable to Ayres Associates.
Bids shall be completed on the enclosed Bid Forms as set forth in the Invitation to Bid and otherwise be in compliance with the Bidding Documents. Each bid must be submitted on the prescribed form and certified by the Bidder. Bidders shall provide three (3) references. Sealed bids will be received by Ms. Betsy Driggers, City Clerk, City of Palatka, 201 North Second Street, Palatka, Florida 32177 until 2:30 p.m. (local time) on June 27, 2017. Any bids received after the specified time and date will not be considered. The sealed bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud at the City of Palatka City Hall as soon as possible after the submission deadline.
The City of Palatka reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. The City of Palatka is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Each Bidder must deposit with his/her security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable according to the Department of Treasury Circular 570.
