PUBLIC NOTICE
The City of Palatka intends on applying for Disaster Recovery Initiative funding in the amount of seven hundred ninety-four thousand nine hundred fifty-five Dollars ($794,955) provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to assist the State of Florida in recovering from effects of Hurricane Irma the 2017 Storm Events. This funding will be administered by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) and can only be used for selected activities that are directly related to the disaster or for disaster mitigation. Activities that are typically eligible for funding under the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Program are eligible projects if no other funding is available to meet the need. Applications are due to DEO no later than August 30, 2019.
The City of Palatka intends to submit an application which will include the following activities:

Information relating to the proposed project and application can also be accessed on the City of Palatka website located at (https://www.palatka-fl.gov ). Comments from the public must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2019. All comments will be considered and proposed changes will be submitted to DEO. Information relating to the proposed project and application is available for review between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the City of Palatka, City Hall located at 201 North 2nd Street, Palatka, FL 32177.
