RE:                          Hurricane Nicole;

                                City Docks closing until further notice

The City of Palatka is closing all City Docks at the Mary Lawson Brown Marina along the Riverfront Park due to recent damage sustained during Hurricane Nicole. Repairs and assessments to mitigate further damage to the City’s docks and coordination of a long-term solution is underway.

Sections of sidewalk in the Riverfront Park have also been undermined and are currently under repair.

Out of concerns for the safety of our citizens, and in order to avoid any possible interference with repair and assessment operations, the City would ask that our citizens remain clear of the affected City Docks and sidewalk areas.  Efforts have been made to identify the areas which are to be avoided.
